What keeps you from stepping onto your mat?
Hi, I’m Susan, a certified and registered yoga teacher and a certified Pilates teacher. Pictured above is me with our family pet, Lager, a Goldendoodle. Lager and I are a therapy team and visit various venues around town.
I received my 200-hour yoga teacher training from Your Yoga Flow (formerly Yogacara Global) in the beautiful country of Costa Rica. I also completed my 300-hour advanced training from Your Yoga Flow. For me, yoga is about creating space. From my immersion training in Costa Rica, it was on a meditative nature walk that I noted how nature takes up space. If a plant wanted to grow from a tree, it just grew, and the tree made space, and the plant made space. As in life, we are created to “take up space.” Life has a purpose, and through yoga, connecting breath and body movement, space is made. I enjoy teaching gentle yoga to beginners, working on flexibility, balance, and strength. Students have commented that they find my calming voice relaxing and my cueing easy to understand.
Off my mat, I love to travel, take long walks, try my hand at gardening, and spend time on the golf course.
